It all began at Ballard High School
I had the privilege of going to a high school that had an incredible photography program that fostered my love of this field. After graduating in 2014, I knew it was something I wanted to continue pursuing, and luckily I had a sister who loved (and still loves) letting me use her as a guinea pig for shoots. Almost ten years later, my love for this job has grown even more, and I am so grateful for my incredible photography teacher, Gina O’Neill at Ballard High School, for playing such a huge role in where I am today!

My purpose is to capture you just as you are
As a lifestyle photographer, l focus much more on capturing moments versus having clients say cheese at the camera (don’t worry, we’ll still get a couple of those too!). What I love most about what I do, is that years down the line, you will be able to look back on these photos and remember this specific moment in time. It is a huge honor to play a role in documenting all of the different phases of people’s lives.
Social Justice and Inclusiveness
It’s incredibly important to me that clients know that I love to photograph any and all people. I aim to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all clients no matter their race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, size, etc.
I currently give a monthly donation on behalf of my business to the Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund.
Fun Facts
I did musical theatre for over ten years. While I have now accepted that singing is not my strongest suit, I am still a HUGE nerd when it comes to musicals.
I met my husband, Joe, on Hinge in 2018 (but we like to make it interesting and say we met at Ladies’ Skate Night at a roller rink). We got married in 2023, and he is the official Chief of Pep Talks at Maleah Nicole Photography.

My friends and I love doing escape rooms, and I have done 30 so far! And yes, I’m that big of a nerd and have an app that tracks how many I’ve done.
